The "SGC-630α・SGC-840α" is an ultra-precision forming surface grinding machine that achieves sub-micron shape accuracy and nanometer surface roughness solely through grinding processing. By transferring its motion characteristics, it enables processing at a level unprecedented in the past. This leads to substantial effects such as improved product yield, increased mold lifespan, creation of high-quality shear surfaces, and reduced working time. All guide structures for vertical, horizontal, and spindle axes employ NAGASE's unique multi-surface constrained hydrostatic structure. This design minimizes both friction and gap deflection to nearly zero simultaneously, enabling nanometer-level repeatability. Additionally, the drive actuators for the left-right and front-back movements are equipped with a unique coreless linear motor. This allows for smooth motion and, in combination with hydrostatic guidance, achieves sub-micron positioning accuracy across a range of speeds from high to low.
